Biography
Eric P. Feichthaler has established himself in Cape Coral as a hard-working, straight-talking community leader. A 1990 Mariner High School graduate, he was inspired by the support of the community in making his college dreams a reality. After graduation with honors from the University of Miami in Economics, he completed his Juris Doctor at Georgetown University Law Center in 1997. After completing his post-doctoral degree from New York University in 2001 in taxation with emphasis on estates and trusts, he returned to Southwest Florida to practice law, raise his family, and serve the people of Cape Coral.
Mr. Feichthaler served as Cape Coral’s 10th Mayor from 2005-2008, during which time he pursued accountability on every level of government, and usefulness for every dollar spent. His knowledge of law, tax policy, and real estate led to the lowest tax rate in city history. He was a charter member of the Florida Leage of Mayors.
After leaving office, he continued his service by serving as board member or pro bono counsel for a variety of charitable groups. He serves on the board of the Cape Coral Caring Center, the city’s only emergency food bank, since 2015. Currently, he serves as President of the Kiwanis Club of Cape Coral.
Eric and his wife, Mary, have been married for 23 years and have four children together. Mr. Feichthaler has been recognized as an expert in real estate law by the Florida Bar since 2014, and is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. Eric Feichthaler has also contributed a weekly column to the Cape Coral Breeze newspaper covering all areas of real estate law that impacts Cape Coral property owners since 2014.
Eric is proud to call Cape Coral home, and enjoys providing personal attention to every client and every matter in real estate and estate planning.
